James Langstaff was born circa 1820. He was the son of John(2) Langstaff.
James Langstaff Found James in the Griffith's Register Index for County Wexford, Ballycanew Parish, and townland of Brackenagh. He just might be the brother of William and John. In 1833 the same townland had a John so James may be the son of the John who turns up on the 1861 census.

From the Griffiths Valuation of Tenements, 1853, in the County of Wexford and the Baroney of Gorey, and the Townland of Brackernagh (Ord. S:11) James is renting from an Edward Irvine a fairly large piece of property, Herd's house and land, house and land (which it appears he is renting to Catherine Byrne and Walter Roche),

In 1814 I was told there was a James at Longfield House, Belmore, Co. Westmeath. This is from a book "Vanishing Irish County Houses)
