Parish and village S. Surrey, 8 miles SW of Dorking, 5419 acres, soil various overlying sand and clay, The church of SS Peter and Paul (restored 1838) is perpendicular. Coverwood is a seat.

There is also one in Sussex:
Parish and village in E. Sussex on the Kent Border, 6 miles NE of Battle, 5846 acres, soil loamy overlying sand and gravel, The church of St. James (restored 1874) is early English and decorated. The font, of Sussex marble, consists of a square basin with a circular shaft. in 1898, at Gazateer, , Surrey, .
John(1615) Longhurst Family Tree claims John and Elizabeth Redford had two other sons beside John (1645), Thomas 1648 and William 1646. Also John dies 1648 and this can not be true as son George born 1668. Tree suggests family continued on via William.

Tree difficult at this time because of the English Civil War.

I think these are two separate families. in 2006.³

Method., english labourer) was married within the last 12 months to a Phillis (spelling in the record, possibly a mistake), age 19, (born England, P. Methodist). Also states 10 members of Phillis' family are domiciled elsewhere and there is a Richard Young, age 38, in the Twp. with wife and 5 children on lot 21 cons 4 (page 46, family #149).
