Predeceased by her parents Ruby (Brownlee) and Charles Einar Vester, and her brothers Leonard and Samuel Vester.
The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan (705-724-2024) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
The funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. Cremation with interment of ashes at Powassan Union Cemetery. If desired, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

It is with great sadness that the family of Marcel Joseph Lavigne announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at La Verendrye Hospital in Fort Frances, Ont.
He leaves behind his spouse, Irene Bobczynski; son, Jody Lavigne and wife, Renee; daughter, Marcelle and husband, David Crosley, of Vancouver, B.C; stepchildren, Sharron Fredrickson of Thunder Bay, Ont., and Joe Bobczynski and wife, Fawn, Howard Bobczynski and wife, Marna, Pam and husband, Les Kaun, and Patricia and husband, Rosaire Lizotte, all of Fort Frances, Ont; grandchildren, Jasmine, Christine, Jordan, Tyler, Chantelle, Kevin, Brent, Patrick, Christopher, Jillian, Jamie, and Nicholas, Lindsay and Stephanie; and great-grandchild, Kayla.
He also will be missed by his sisters, Marguerite Langstaff of Fort Frances, Ont., and Vina and husband, Henry Berg, of Atikokan, Ont; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Bingo and Keno.
Marcel was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Florence Lavigne; brothers, Camille, Edward, and Arnold; sister, Della DeGagne; and infant sister, Gladys Lavigne.
He was born Sept. 17, 1932 in Fort Frances and was educated here. He worked for the Flinders Dairy for four years until 1952 and then moved to Marathon, where he spent 18 years with American Can, returning to Fort Frances in August, 1971.
He joined the local paper mill here starting as first assistant in the kraft mill, advancing through the line before retiring as lead pulp operator Aug. 31, 1991.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren and dogs.
Memorial services will be held Friday, June 29, 2001 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances. Father Eugene Whyte O.M.I. will officiate, with cremation in Thunder Bay, Ont.
Honourary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
If friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 920 Frenette Ave., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 3N4.1
