Albertha Martha Hurd Speaking of the Forge Album, you had sent me pictures from it of my Grandfather John James Aitkin and as a child, Charles Roy Aitkin. I found out that "Roy" went to Brooklyn in 1909 when he turned 21, to visit a sister, which I didn't know he had. I located her birth record, see attached, and started digging from there. Carmeta, the correct spelling, was raised by her mothers sister (Alberta Martha Hurd) and husband (Eugene John Hope) Their mother Eva Hurd, died in 1891
May have been after 1901 as Roy is on the 1901 census with others. in 1891.²
