George Pennock White died on 2 May 1901, at, Leeds, . My maternal grandmother, Alzina Trickey White was widowed in 1901. The following is an account of my maternal grandfather's death from the microfilms of the Brockville Recorder and Times as recorded in the local news column of The Evening Recorder, Brockville May 2, 1901 - George Pennock White of Rockport died this morning. He was over 90 years of age. For some forty years he conducted a boat livery at Rockport, and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. The family by his first wife is Mrs. William Langstaff, Mallorytown: Mrs. Reuben Beull, Larue's Mills; Mr. Cherry White, Mallorytown; William at Lyn, and Amasa resident of the state of Illinois. His second wife, nee Alzina Trickey survives with two children, Minnie and Allen. Mr. White was a consistent Methodist and a staunch Liberal.1,2
